Senior Estimator – Roofing (Refurbishment Focus)
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + Pension
An established roofing contractor is looking for a Senior Estimator with detailed knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems to support a growing refurbishment division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate tenders for pitched and flat roofing refurbishment works
- Complete take-offs and material schedules (tiles, slates, membranes, insulation, associated works)
- Review drawings and specifications in detail
- Conduct site surveys
- Negotiate supplier and manufacturer rates
- Follow up and convert tenders
Essential Criteria:
- 5+ years estimating within roofing
- Strong technical understanding of both pitched and flat roofing systems
- Experience pricing refurbishment works
- Commercially astute with strong supplier negotiation capability
Desirable:
- Solar estimating experience
- Framework/CIF funding knowledge
- Estimating software proficiency
This role requires sector-specific roofing experience — general construction estimators will not be suitable.
