Part-Time Receptionist
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Hours: Monday & Tuesday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (18 hours per week)
Contract: Part-time with additional overtime available to cover holidays and sickness
Our client is seeking an experienced and professional Receptionist to join their Corporate Head Office in Hemel Hempstead. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy front-of-house environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
The Role
As the first point of contact for visitors, clients and colleagues, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and professional first impression. This is a varied role that combines reception duties with administrative support, making it ideal for someone who is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors, clients and colleagues in a professional and friendly manner.
- Managing visitor and contractor sign-in procedures, including issuing security passes.
- Booking and coordinating meeting rooms.
- Supporting the organisation of meetings and office events.
- Processing incoming and outgoing post.
- Monitoring stationery stock levels and placing orders when required.
- Carrying out monthly first aid box checks and maintaining inspection records.
- Providing general administrative support to ensure the office runs efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Previous reception or customer service experience (essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, friendly and approachable manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams and Excel.
- Knowledge of GDPR and compliance requirements.
- Health and Safety awareness.
- Experience using Condeco and/or Net2 systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
