HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 DOE

HGV Mechanic – Welwyn Garden City
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter to join a well-established and growing company operating a fleet of HGVs and volumetric concrete mixers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled HGV Technician to work on a modern fleet, including concrete mixer trucks and volumetric batching equipment, within a stable and expanding business.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance and repair of HGV vehicles
- Diagnose faults on diesel engines, hydraulics and electrical systems
- Repair and maintain concrete mixers and volumetric concrete trucks
- Carry out inspections, servicing and MOT preparation
- Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance
- Ensure all work is completed in line with DVSA and health & safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician / HGV Fitter
- Strong understanding of HGV maintenance, diagnostics and repair
- Experience with concrete mixers or volumetric trucks (desirable)
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and auto electrics
- Full UK Driving Licence (Class 1 or 2 advantageous)
Salary & Benefits
