The Role
My client is acting as the delivery lead on a long-term housing development and are seeking an Assistant/Trainee Construction Manager to manage, supervise, and provide an overview of the main infrastructure projects within the development.
The role will also involve managing and maintaining the parts of the estate not yet in construction.
My client would expect the successful candidate to have good site managerial qualifications and skills, so may also suit a candidate with Site Manager experience but with the necessary infrastructure background, rather than predominately house building, fitting out etc. as the client do not deliver these works themselves.
This role may suit younger engineer looking to progress their career and a move over to construction management because of the need for civil infrastructure, drainage, and utility experience.
This project is a long term one and the candidate will work out of their new site offices at the heart of their development near Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire.
Development has already been progressing for 5 years with up to 10 years still to run so locality is important.
The Assistant/Trainee Construction Manager will report directly to the Construction Manager.
